Panchapandavas of Mahabharata

The Panchapandavas of the Mahabharata were the five sons of Pandu - Yudhishthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula and Sahadeva. Kunti and Madri got children by using the boon given by Muni Durvasa.

They were five Kshetra sons of Pandu, their adversaries in the battlefield were their own patrilineal brothers, 100 Kauravas . They eventually won the war.

Kuru genealogy

King Kuru was the son of Samvarana and Tapati. His descendants are called Kauravas. In fact, all of them were of Kuru lineage, so all of them can be called Kauravas. However, Duryodhana and his 100 brothers are called Kauravas-

List of names of 100 people

Panchapandava's father's name is Pandu hence they are called Pandavas. Draupadi was one wife of five brothers. Panchapandava learned from Kripa and Dronacharya.

Let's know about them-

Yudhisthira

Dharmaputra told a lie in Yudhishthira's life, that too cannot be said to be a lie. Because - Aswathama  would have said iti gaj (slowly) when it was not heard in the music . Yudhisthira is determined to do no wrong

Bhima

Bhima, the son of Vayu, was the most powerful. Many people want to portray him as a fool due to his immense strength and huge body, I don't know if the Mahabharata says something like that or not. However,  Bhima proved his prowess in battle with archers like Karna and Bhishma .

Arjuna

Arjuna, the son of Indra, was steadfast in his goal. Krishna's advice to Arjuna is the holy book of Hinduism, Gita . Arjuna, the charioteer of Krishna, was Dronacharya's best student and one of the brightest characters in the Mahabharata.

Nakul

Ashwiniputra Nakula was the most handsome. He was an excellent horse rider, a specialist in Ayurveda and skilled in Aussie riding. Nakula fought valiantly at Kurukshetra and won. Later he was appointed as the king of Madras.

Sahadeva

Sahadeva was shy and modest. He was skilled in driving ausi and chariots, another name of Sahadeva was Maharathi. According to Bhagavata Purana  he advised Krishna how to stop the war. His solution was to imprison Krishna, send the Pandavas and Duryodhana to the forest and make Karna king .

Pandu was the king of Hastinapur. Due to the curse, he could not have a son normally. Then his wife Kunti and Madri got these five children from the gods. All these are sons of Pandu Kshetraj.
